Straight Out of the Wasteland: Part 1

Those that know me can attest to my love of all things post apocalyptic. I am a huge fan of Road Warrior and comics like Fist of the North Star and Just A Pilgrim. Ash Wastes Necromunda is my dream come true and Necromunda being my favorite table top game ,I was really excited when the Ash Waste supplement was released as it allowed my imagination to run wild with gang conversions. The key elements that separates Ash Wastes from Underhive is vehicles and terrain. The new Ork battle wagon is a great kit to convert or use as is for Ash Wastes.
So here is one vehicle that I built months back and began painting today...

I began by over brushing the entire model with GW Foundation Charadon Granite,
after a good black prime job.

Next I dry brushed lightly Tin Bitz, to begin giving it a metallic feel.

I wanted this vehicle to look different from my Ork ones,
so instead of a rust scheme I chose to stipple a 50/50
mix of Dheneb Stone and Gnarloc Green. It really
gives a feeling like it has been trucking through
the Wastes for many years...

Finally, I did a light dry brush of Boltgun Metal to bring out all
the bolts, studs and metal edges the model has.

All thats left to do is the details and wash some of the
areas with Devlan Mud.
So far so good.
